"By integrating self-managed study techniques with dynamic, high-caliber content, our programs offer a level of academic agility that is second to none."
"Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) is dedicated to delivering premier academic programs that equip students to navigate modern challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities. Our Open and Distance Learning (ODL) initiatives span every academic level, providing flexible alternatives to our traditional on-campus offerings."
Our courses are designed to support self-paced learning while offering opportunities to interact with instructors through video calls or chat. Each course features clear and structured content, focused learning methods, engaging visuals, quizzes, practical exercises with feedback, and real-world examples. This approach helps beginners grasp complex topics and supports professionals seeking to upgrade their skills. In addition, learners receive access to supplementary resources, recommended readings, and self-study guides to reinforce understanding and apply knowledge effectively.
Students are required to register for courses every semester. Failure to do so will result in termination of studies. A minimum of one course must be registered, with a maximum of 18 credits for a normal semester and 10 credits for a short semester. Students whose studies are terminated may apply for reinstatement within two semesters; otherwise, they must submit a new application. To avoid late registration penalties, students are advised to register within the stipulated period and regularly check their academic records. Course additions or withdrawals are permitted only during the designated add/drop period.

Students may withdraw from a course before the specified deadline. However, withdrawals made after the deadline will incur a fee. Students are strongly advised to consult their programme coordinator before proceeding with any course withdrawal.

In the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) program, students don't need to attend in-person classes, but online classes may be held some weeks. While attendance is not required, students are encouraged to join for better understanding of the course.

Participation is measured through activities on the LMS-AuthorODL platform, including weekly assignments, training sessions, and self-learning materials. Students must complete at least 80% of these activities by the end of the semester to meet course requirements.

If you have trouble completing assignments or meeting participation requirements, contact your lecturers or faculty for help.
