All international students applying for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) are required to obtain EMGS Approval to Study, in line with regulations set by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).
This approval is compulsory for international students who intend to pursue their studies remotely from outside Malaysia. It ensures that students are officially registered with the Malaysian Higher Education Authority and facilitates the issuance of an official Letter of Approval, which is necessary for enrolment.
